I’ve always spun my mind
on worries and fears
For things in the future
I’ve shed undue tears
When I remember to think what is real
To sit in the moment
to breathe this one breath
I quiet my unquiet mind
You are here on my shoulder
To nag at my peace
To drag on my conscience
To alter my speech
But I will not follow
I will not swallow
I will not wallow
In muck and in mire
I will take a path to inspire
And quiet my unquiet mind.
